This near-future romance is called Hal and it sounds like a romantic Time of Eve with its mixture of androids and falling in love.It stars the voices of Y ko Hikasa (Saeki in), Mamoru Miyano and Yoshimasa Hosoya (Level E). The director Ry tarMakihara has a lot of experience with TV anime like directing an episode of Tatami Galaxy and Monster, Summer Wars and Le Chevalier D'Eon. Music comes from Michiru Oshima who scored the awesome flamenco inspired Fuse: A Gungirl's Detective Story and the melancholy Le Chevalier D'Eon. The anime is produced by Wit Studio who are bringing a thrillingly dark title to television screens with .
Kurumi (Hikasa) likes Haru (Hosoya) but their seemingly happy life ends when a plane accident takes Haru from the mortal world. A robot version of Haru, Hal, emerges as a substitute. As the two live together Kurumi gradually opens her memories and mind to him.

Surely this is getting a UK release. It has popped up at two festivals already and the ONA is freely availableI'm excited about it because it comes from Yasuhiro Yoshiura who was the director/creator of the wonderful Time of Eve, a futuristic drama about androids in a cafand the humans that visit them. It sounds flakey but it was a whimsical and humanistic show full of great details and gorgeous animation and do you know what was best of all? The characters were relatable and funny. This is his latest film and it looks to be just as good. I still love that poster!
The story takes place in an underground world where the inhabitants exist in tunnels and confined spaces and must wear protective clothing. Despite this, these underground people still enjoy life, especially Patema, the princess of her underground village who loves to explore. If she were ever to leave the tunnels she might find herself plunging into what we consider the sky! Nevertheless, her fascination with exploration leads her to a forbidden area where she meets a boy named Age who operates under different gravitational circumstances - he walks on the ground! The two may come from very different societies but will face strange situations together!

Steins;Gate was myand it is getting a UK release thanks to Manga Entertainment. The movie version sees us revisit Okabe and Makise and Mayuri. The film has the vocal talents of Mamoru Miyano (Fuse:A Gun Girl's Detective Story) and Kana Hanazawa (Bakemonogatari) and Halko Momoi who composed and performed the awesome songwhich was used in .
Kurisu has returned to Akihabara after a year in America and meets up with Okabe but it does not last lone because he soon has images of other timelines, and disappears. Kurisu must fight against her own heart to decide whether to follow the path of a scientist and follow Okabe's words to not go back in time to get him back, or let her emotions drive her to save him, no matter what dangerous effects it may have on the world.

This is the latest of the Neon Genesis Evangelion films that aim to reboot one of the most important mecha anime in history. With the post-angel invasion world already introduced and the characters firmly in place we see The cast has the familiar seiyuu from the television show including Megumi Hayashibara () who voices Rei Ayanami and Pen Pen, Megumi Ogata who plays Shinji Ikari, Akira Ishida (Keiju Tabuki in ), Yuko Miyamura (Casca in Berserk), Hiro Yuuki (Takaomi in Mysterious Girlfriend X), Miki Nagasawa (Mutio in Blue Submarine No.6), and Maaya Sakamoto (Hitomi in Escaflowne).

This is a classic. Like Ridley Scott's movies Alien and Blade Runner, its aesthetics have influenced the look of a lot of animation and film. I have seen it on multiple occasions and I highly recommend it.
The year is 2019 and thirty-one years have passed since World War III. Neo-Tokyo is wracked with riots and clashes between the authorities and extreme political opponents. A child from a top secret government project interested in psychic powers is spirited away by one of these political extremist groups but gets caught up in a clash between young delinquent motorcycle gangs. This gang finds itself suddenly catching the interest of the authorities when one of the gang-members, Tetsuo, exhibits psychic powers. He is taken by the army to be experimented on but his mind might be more powerful than anybody could have guessed.
Also screening at the festival, but not as part of Fanone Day, is After School Midnighters which screens on the 09th and 18th.

The CGI film After School Midnighters is directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo and stars some famous seiyuu: Hiromasa Taguchi (Father in Kaasan), Haruka Tomatsu (Yunyun in CANAAN, Asuna in Sword Art Online), Minako Kotobuki (Y ko in A-Channel, Hamaji in ) and Kouichi Yamadera (Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop).
When midnight arrives a human anatomical model named Kunstlijk comes to life in a school science classroom and goes on to have fun with a skeleton named Goth (Taguchi) and three girls Miko (Uran), Mako (Tomatsu) and Mutsuko (Kotobuki).
